Security Council establishes UN peacekeeping mission in Central African Republic

The UN Security Council gives a go-ahead to the creation of a UN peacekeeping force in the war-torn Central African Republic.

The 11,800-strong force named MINUSCA, aims to put an end to the sectarian violence (bordering on genocide) raging on between Christians and Muslims.
